Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
Who we are
Dash Financials provides bookkeeping, weekly P&L reporting and financial dashboards to trucking companies. This policy covers the website at dashfinancials.com and the Dash Financials app. Questions go to info@dashfinancials.com.
What we collect
- Account details: the username, name, email, phone and company name you give us, and the time of each sign-in.
- Your books: what you or your team put into the app: trucks and trailers (VINs, payment terms, paperwork), drivers (names, pay terms, deductions, license and medical card dates), loads, fuel, toll, repair and admin transactions, the P&L, the Accounting books, and the files you upload.
- Telegram: if you connect a Telegram group, the messages and documents posted there, so they can be turned into suggestions for your books.
- Activity: a record of the changes made to your books, with who made them, when and from which IP address, kept for one year.
- Questions to Axle: what you ask the assistant and its answers, kept in your own chats.
How we use it
Only to run the service for you: to keep your books, prepare your reports, answer your questions and support you. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else processes it
- AI provider: when you ask Axle a question or open an explanation, the figures needed to answer are sent to our AI provider to write the answer. They are not used to train its models.
- Backups: encrypted copies of the database are stored with a cloud storage provider. They cannot be read without our key.
- Fonts: the website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address.
Cookies
The app sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in. The website uses no tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics.
How long we keep it
Your books are kept while your account is open. The activity log is kept for one year. When you close your account we delete your company's data on request; encrypted backups age out within 30 days, except daily backups, which we keep to protect against loss and delete on request.
Your choices
You can see, correct and export your data in the app at any time. To have it deleted, or for any question about your information, write to info@dashfinancials.com.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell account owners by email before it takes effect.
